
Afghanistan has exported 1,100 tons of black pine nuts.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan said that from the beginning of the current solar year to the end of the lunar calendar, Afghanistan has exported 1,110 tons of black pine nuts to a number of countries. Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, a spokesman for the ministry, told the media in a video that Afghanistan has exported black pine nuts to Austria, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, England, the United States, Italy, Australia, Germany, Pakistan, Turkey, China, and other countries in the past 11 months. A spokesman for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce added that Afghanistan has earned more than $14 million from pine nut exports in the past 11 months. The Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced a month ago that it would establish a single union to support members of the pine nut sector, better manage the sector, and eliminate unhealthy competition in this sector.
