
134 institutions have been granted operating licenses
Abdul Rahman Habib, spokesman for the Ministry of Economy, announced that since the beginning of this solar year, 134 domestic and foreign institutions have been granted operating licenses. He also added that among the institutions that have received operating licenses this year, five are foreign institutions. According to the Ministry of Economy spokesman, these institutions are active in the fields of education, combating natural disasters, social protection and other sectors. Earlier, Abdul Latif Nazari, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Economy, had said that following the suspension of US cash assistance to Afghanistan, the activities of 50 foreign institutions in 28 provinces had been suspended. Based on the latest statistics provided by the ministry, there are currently 2,608 domestic and foreign institutions operating in various sectors in Afghanistan.
