The Ministry of Agriculture has provided an alternative to poppy
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock says that it has distributed plants such as saffron, heng, cotton, saffron, aloe vera and sesame to farmers as a substitute for poppy. Misbahuddin Mustain, the spokesman of this ministry, emphasizes that after the Islamic Emirate's leader issued a decree prohibiting the cultivation of poppy, poppy is not cultivated in any region of Afghanistan. According to the words of the spokesperson of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, this ministry has also established some citrus orchards for farmers in different provinces and launched various educational programs for them.
