Forming a special team to assess drought in Afghanistan

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has announced the formation of a working team to assess the drought in Afghanistan. In a meeting with the head of the National Disaster Preparedness Department, the board of this office announced that if the team detects signs of drought, 10 million dollars will be allocated to manage this situation. This working team consists of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Organization for Migration, UNICEF and the Red Cross Federation to assess the drought situation in Afghanistan
