50 Afghan Prisoners Released from Pakistani Jails and Return Home
The ministry stated on Thursday, May 15, on its official page on X (formerly Twitter), that these individuals had been detained in Pakistan due to a lack of legal documentation. According to previous reports, more than 3,000 Afghan prisoners were released from Pakistani jails and returned to the country during the month of April. This comes amid a recent increase in the detention and deportation of undocumented Afghan migrants in Pakistan, raising widespread concern among human rights organizations and Afghan authorities.
